Actor Karthik, who ruled the roost in the 1980s and early 90s, has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. The actor-turned-politician was involved in a story discussion when he complained of acute throat pain.
Following the unbearable pain, Karthik was rushed to the Apollo Hospitals in Chennai where the doctors diagnosed him of throat ulcer. The treatment has been started immediately and sources say that the actor would have to stay in the hospital for some days for complete cure.
Karthik’s son Gautham is currently acting in Mani Ratnam’s film Kadal and this will mark his debut in Kollywood.
