It was in Manappad, a coastal town which is 60 km away from Tuticoron, Mani Ratnam shot most parts of his forthcoming film 'Kadal', which is set in the backdrop of the lives of fishermen.
Only after completing a lengthy schedule there, the cast and crew of the movie left for Andaman, where some songs and important scenes were shot. And now, they are back in Manappad.
"A few scenes are left to be shot in Manappad. Hence Mani and his team are back. Almost 90 per cent shoot is over and this will be last schedule, which is expected to over in a few weeks," sources say.
Rahman has composed four songs for the movie, and each one of them is a gem, they further say and add: "Mani, the mentor of Rahman, is very happy with the songs of Kadal. He shot them in his unique way."
