Bala's 'Paradesi's' first look is out
As Bala's next film 'Paradesi' is quickly shaping up, the first look of the film has been released on to the internet much to the surprise of many fans. The lead actor in the film Atharva has been portrayed as a completely different person, who is rugged and very animalistic to look at.
Ever since his first film 'Sethu', Bala has been known to portray characters in an extraordinary fashion and making them blend into a script that in itself is pretty superficial.
Now, it's the turn of young Atharva to wear the shoes and carry the burden of Bala's film making on his shoulders. Bala recently explained in an interview his role as a director in his movies, including the upcoming 'Paradesi'.

Bala and his Portrayals
"Bala can be understood only through experience",
Vedhika, who is depending on Bala's Paradesi, for a good break in the Tamil industry has shared her experiences of working with the ace director. Contrary to her expectations about Bala being a very tough taskmaster, Vedhika found out that he is very polite and amicable. Prior to signing the project, she was apprehensive as she was told a lot of negative things about the director but she went ahead and signed the project as she wanted to fulfill the director's expectations and make a good name for herself.
"Bala has a brilliant approach to get the work done from his actors and doesn't panic and is very gentle in tense situations". Vedhika signs off saying that Bala can be understood only through experience. Vedhika cherishes her Paradesi experience on the whole.
Bala, 'Sani Bhagavan', 'Paradesi'
Guess what was the title director Bala initially zeroed in on for his upcoming film 'Paradesi'? It's 'Sani Bhagavan'. However, he later changed it as 'Paradesi'.
"Paradesi is a period flick which will speak about the lives of tea estate workers who were treated as slaves more than a century ago," says the National Award winner.
He adds: "Atharva has come out with a tremendous performance. In this third film of him itself, he has attained the maturity of 100th movie."
Bala says the female characters (played by Vedhika and Dhanshika) in 'Paradesi' will be symbols of affection and love. "I learnt these things from my daughter," he adds.
