According to reports, Gemini film has bought the theatrical rights of Mani Ratnam’s Kadal for a whopping Rs. 25 crores. The distributors have expressed their confidence that the film will do well in the theaters.
Apart from Gautham Karthik, Samantha and Arvind Swamy, the film stars Thambi Ramaiah, Pasupathi and Lakshmi Manchu in important roles. The director even roped in technicians from Hong Kong to create enhanced special effects. Arvind Swamy met with a minor accident during the shoot and had his hand fractured. He is presently on rest.
The film is expected to be released on Deepavali.
