Director of Simbu’s Kaalai and Vishal’s Thimiru, Tarun Gopi, has been focusing on acting since his last directorial outing which was in 2008. Now he is all set to assume that role once again for a film titled ‘Soodhattam’ under his own banner.
Talking to Behindwoods, the director says “I’m currently in talks with a few established heroes and will soon make an announcement on the cast. This project is sure to take me to take the next level as a director and it will have the same impact on the hero as well.”
Tarun Gopi also gave out more info about the production by saying that he plans to shoot the film in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously. Keeping his superhit action entertainer Thimiru as the benchmark, the director told Behindwoods, "This film will be 4 times more action packed."
When asked about how he plans to balance his career as an actor and a director, Tarun Gopi said that his aim now is to make one film a year. Soodhattam is about a Madurai boy, the hero, falling in love with a Telugu girl and the consequences the hero will have to face for his love.
