Forward Bloc Decides to Support LDF

The state committee of the All India Forward Bloc that met here the other day decided not to contest in the election on its own and decided to support the LDF in the Lok Sabha polls. The state committee said that a decision has been taken not to field candidates in Kollam, Thrissur, Idukki and Kannur after the CPM and Forward Bloc central leadership intervened and urged the party to withdraw from the fray. A press release issued by the state committee of the party said that a decision was taken after a written assurance from the CPM to induct Forward Bloc into the LDF fold after the Lok Sabha election. The decision of the central committee was presented by national secretary G Devarajan at the state committee meet. All India Forward Bloc State secretary V Rammohan presented the report in the meet.
