Bala says no to Atharva

Director Bala’s home production house, B Studios, intends to encourage emerging talent apart from backing his own directorial ventures. The production house brought out the Suriya-Jyothika starrer ‘Mayavi’ in 2004 which was directed by Bala’s friend Singapuli.

Now, reports are suggesting that director Jeeva Shankar of ‘Naan’ fame, had approached B Studios for his next project. The film is set to feature Bala’s Paradesi hero Atharva in the lead. But after a round of talks, the deal seems to have fallen through and Jeeva Shankar is on the hunt for a new producer.

Meanwhile, Paradesi has been completed and is expecting a release later in February.
