Nation pays tributes to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

The nation remembers Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his 118th birthday on Thusday. Several prorammes are being organised across the country to mark the day. In West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee along with her cabinet colleagues is participating at a programme held at Darjeeling hill this year. In Kolkata, people from all walks of life are visiting the ancestral house of Netaji in South Kolkata since early morning to pay their homage to Netaji. Renowned international sand artist Manas Kumar Sahoo has also prepared a sand sculpture at the golden sea beach at Puri town. In memory of the golden contribution of Netaji, the sand artist prepared the sculpture showing Subhash Chandra Bose in a golden sandy coin. The sculpture is reportedly 5ft high. Bose was born on January 23, 1897 in Cuttack, Orissa Division, Bengal Province, to Prabhavati Devi and Janakinath Bose. Netaji, who formed Indian national army to fight against British, gave the most famous slogan "Give me blood and I will give you freedom". Another famous quote was Dilli Chalo which inspired the INA armies to wage a war against the British Army.
