Veteran actor Karthik Muthuraman, who quit AIFB and started his own political party, Akhila India Naadalum Makkal Katchi is back in business. The actor recently held a press conference, in which he spoke about having handpicked 12 constituencies in the state, where his candidates and he will stand for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
Karthik expressed his concern about the lack of awareness about political, social and civic issues among the people of the state. He said that to educate the people, he would distribute pamphlets in Tamil about the pressing issues in the state.
The actor, however, did not respond to questions about the possible alliances with other parties. He also said that his party's election campaigns will kick-start in Ambasamudram.
