Bharathiraja garners support

Director Bharathiraja has called the film fraternity to extend their support for Murugan, Santhan and Perarivalan and stall their death sentence which is due to take place on September 9th.

All three accused in Rajiv Gandhi’s murder have been sentenced to death by hanging and this has created uproar among various sections of the society. Protests are being held to commute this death sentence to life imprisonment.

Joining the bandwagon of this slew of protests will be the film fraternity and on behalf of the Directors’ Council, it's president Bharathiraja has called for an agitation. The details about this protest will be announced soon, said Bharathiraja in a press meet.
