Naam Tamizhar Katchi chief Seeman have condemned the attack on the Gnanasundaram Kuhanathan, news editor of the Tamil daily Uthayan.
On July 29, a group of unknown men attacked Kuhanathan with iron rods and he sustained severe head injuries.
Uthayan Publisher E Sarvanapavan claims that the attack was in a motive to scare journalists as they have taken a pro nationalist Tamil stance.Moreover Seeman stated that there is no freedom of press in Sri Lanka and such acts go to prove this fact.
