Chennai Feb 10 ( truthdive) : Call it a Cassiopeia or Cepheus, the AIADMK electoral alliance is evolving as a five star constellation to twinkle in the election campaign for the forthcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
The stage actor and script writer M. Karunanithi rose to the level of the leader of DMK and was named “ Kalaigner “ meaning “ The artist”
When the M.G. Ramachandran the “Revolutionary actor” came out of DMK and formed his own political party he became “ Revolutionary leader”. The fans turned political workers have a habit of calling their leaders in such high degree name. When J.Jayalalithaa took the leadership of AIADMK she became ‘ Revolutionary leader”
The political ambitions of Vijayakanth should have been understood even two decades back when he took a pet name “ Revolutionary Artist” combining the pet names of both M.G.Ramachandran and M.Karunanithi. Later he found his own party DMDK. He commands a larger chunk of Naidu, Naickers and Arunthathiyar castes who have a Telugu origin.
When actor Karthik with a nick name “ Navarasa nayakan” ( a hero of all the nine feelings}lost his shine in the silver screen he entered in the existing political party Forward block only to establish his own “ Nadalum makkal katchi” ( A party of ruling people”) Well the talk is that he commands considerable following among the youth of Thevar community in south Tamil nadu.
When Sarathkumar became a hero in screen, Super star Rajinikanth was very popular and therefore he took a name “ Supreme Star”. This supreme star formed a political party ‘ Samathuva makkal katchi” which is more confined to Nadar community. He is supposed to contest in Thenkasi constituency based on caste calculations.
As everyone knows, the actor still in the field Vijay Ilaya thalapathi ( the Junior Commander”) is preparing his grounds in politics.
Like a rare celestial phenomenon all these five stars J. Jayalalithaa, Vijayakanth, Sarathkumar, Karthik and Vijay are to team up for the forthcoming assembly election. The people are waiting with eyes wide opened to see all these stars in one stage.
The star studded AIADMK alliance is all set to expand further if T. Rajender joins them as well. He along with other small stars shall make this summer hot or cold that depends on addition of one or two heroines who are still having market value. Let us wait and see how DMK alliance bring their own stars to start a star war.
