Vadivelu, who made a comeback to films with Tenali Raman a few months ago, was said to be keen on doing only lead roles. Recently, he had signed on Yuvraj Dayalan's Eli, in which he plays the lead. Now, the actor has decided to take up comedian roles in films that have other actors in the lead as well.
Vadivelu has been confirmed for a comic role in an untitled project starring Vikram Prabhu. Says a source, "Vadivelu will be the comedian in the film, which has Vikram Prabhu in the lead. He will commence shoot for this family entertainer from February. He will be essaying the role of Vikram's maternal uncle." The film will be directed by Ravi Murugayya, who has assisted director Ezhil.
