Actor Karthik to focus on development of southern districts

Madurai, May 20 : Nadalum Makkal Katchi founder leader and actor M.Karthik today said his party would undertake "massive" service work like non-governmental organisations to improve the economy of the poor especially the women and provide better facilities to people.

Karthik, who unsuccesfully contested the recent Lok Sabha elections, told reporters here that he had no regrets about contesting the elections as an ally of BJP. He said he got rich experience in the field of politics.

He would start a base for the party in the city also,and work for the welfare of the people in a big way,like he used to do earlier through his NGO, Saranayalayam Narpani Manram.

He said he would focus on five districts in the southern Tamil Nadu and do his best to develop the areas. He found that many villages in Virudhunagar did not even have water facility and was eager to provide some help to the people
