Ameer to jump political fray?

Actor-director Ameer, who emerged triumphant in the recently concluded polls to Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) and became its president, may contest in the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for 2014.
This was indicated by Seeman, another popular actor-filmmaker, who is the president of a political party called Naam Tamizhar Katchi.

Speaking at a meeting of the party recently, which was attended by Ameer, Seeman said the Paruthi Veeran director gave his nod to contest as a candidate of Naam Tamizhar Katchi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

"Our party will jump the electoral fray in the coming elections. I am sure our MPs and MLAs will fight for the rights in Parliament and Assembly respectively," Seeman said, amid applause from Naam Tamizhar activists.
