THE BALA PATTERN

Many of the greatest minds of the world, be it Leonardo Da Vinci or Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, had a pattern in how they worked. It is not unnoticeable if they are seen with wide eyes. Similarly, a genius from Periyakulam too has a pattern. And this genius is called Bala. The director, who is presently busy with Paradesi, works with an actor twice, but a bit differently. He works with an actor in a film and works with another one in another film and ropes in both actors in a multi-starrer. Confusing, is it? Let’s take instances to make it clearer…

Sethu – Bala’s first film. He brought in Vikram to do the main role. This proved to be a big break for Vikram and the actor became one of the most sought after actor in the industry.

Nanda- The director roped in Suriya in the lead role. Again, post this film Suriya’s image as an actor grew big time.

Pithamagan- Bala’s master piece till date. The genius brought on-board both Suriya and Vikram to do the lead roles, and what a combination it proved to be.

Naan Kadavul- Arya proved his versatility in this film. He and Pooja were praised for their stunning performances. This film earned the director a National Award too.

Avan Ivan- Bala’s second multi-starrer with Arya and Vishal in the lead. The director even expected Vishal to win a National Award for his performance in the film.

Untitled film- After Paradesi, Bala will be joining hands with Vishal for the second time and the director is very particular about getting Vishal a National Award with this film.

We can also expect Atharva Murali to join the director for the second time soon, hopefully in a multi-starrer.
