I want to build a memorial for my dad, Prabhu

The 1964 super hit Karnan that was re-released on March 19th 2012 has successfully completed 150 days in theaters. A function was organized on Saturday at the Kamarajar Arangam, Chennai to celebrate the feat. Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan’s sons Prabhu and Ramkumar along with director Cheran, Vikram Prabhu, P Vasu, Y Gee Mahendran, MS Viswanathan and TM Soudarrajan  attended the event.

Every guest present praised the evergreen film and the legendary Sivaji Ganesan. The film completed its 150 days in Satyam Cinemas, Chennai and 17 other theaters saw the film successfully crossing 50 days. While speaking on the occasion, Prabhu expressed his desire to build a memorial for his father, the legendary Sivaji Ganesan.
