Gautham Karthik and Sana bring 'Rangoon' to Chennai
As reported yesterday, director AR Murugadoss had chosen new and upcoming talent Sana Makbul for his production venture "rangoon' starring Gautham Karthik. 'Rangoon' being directed by Murugadoss's longtime associate Rajkumar Periasamy is currently under shoot here in Chennai.
The shoot for the movie is said to be currently taking place at parts of St. Thomas and Guindy since yesterday with shots featuring both the hero and heroine. Romantic scenes and combination shots have been filmed so far.
The film is said to be an action movie with all commercial elements infused appropriately. Many in the industry and fans alike are excited after it was known that A. R. Murugadoss is producing this movie. One needs to see whether the 'Rangoon' director will bring about his experience he learned under A. R. Murugadoss. Let us wait and see!
'Anegan' undergoes massive cut
As reported few days earlier, KV Anand's 'Anegan' starring Dhanush and Amyra Dastur acquired the 'U' certificate from the CBFC and is gearing up well towards its release.
However, news has now surfaced that the CBFC jury had given the 'U' certificate after 23 cuts were implemented in the movie and that KV Anand had no other option to resort to.
It is being said that despite there being 23 cuts implemented in the movie and that for the cause of tax exemption, this will not lead to any hindrance to the flow of the story overall.
Sasikumar's dance of death
The shooting of director Bala's 'Thaara Thappattai', which has Sasikumar in the lead, is going on in a brisk pace in areas surrounding Thanjavur.
According to sources, a funeral procession number was shot recently and it had Sasikumar dancing for some pulsating beats.
Interestingly, 'Thaara Thappattai' is the 1000th film of maestro Ilayaraja and there are said to be nearly a dozen songs. Varalaxmi is the movie's heroine.
