Best PC Action Game

Rocksteady proved with Arkham Asylum that it was possible to make a great Batman game. Arkham City expands upon its predecessor, giving Batman an open metropolis to explore and fight through. A huge cast of villains, a plot that twists in often unexpected directions, and gameplay mechanics that make you feel just like Batman create an extremely satisfying action experience. There’s plenty of content for the dedicated player, a well executed new game plus mode, gorgeous visuals and a combat system with a simple, accessible hook and a surprising amount of depth. Whether you prefer stringing together dizzyingly long strings of combos to beat down mobs of thugs or swooping through the shadows to strike at unsuspecting enemies, Rocksteady’s latest has you covered. Arkham City is a big, brilliant action epic.

Best Smartphone

Samsung faced fierce competition this year from Apple, Motorola, HTC and others, but ultimately, the Galaxy Nexus reigned supreme. It stood out not only for its great design and powerful internals, but as the first smartphone to utilize Google's updated mobile OS, Android 4.0. Ice Cream Sandwich refines and unifies the platform, making it more user-friendly and adding a laundry list of new features, including a new and improved UI, data usage management tools, expanded video and picture functions and more. Although the new OS will eventually rollout to other devices, the Galaxy Nexus will remain ahead of the pack as Google's flagship device.

Best Notebook

Known primarily for their work in PC gaming mice and keyboards, Razer's entry into the notebook development and manufacturing business earlier this year was completely unexpected, but with its new ultra-portable 17-inch gaming laptop, the Blade, the company is bringing a fresh perspective. Instead of emphasizing raw processing power, Razer is putting portability first. At less than an inch thick and only 7-pounds, the Blade is one of the thinnest and lightest gaming notebooks on the market, and with its programmable LCD keys and trackpad, it features innovative new control methods. Though carrying a premium price of $2,799, the Blade sports some great specs, including NVIDIA's GT555M, Intel's Core i7 CPU, which can be overclocked to 3.5GHz, and 8GBs of RAM.

Top Bollywood movie of 2011

Pyaar Ka Punchnama: The year's sleeper success that kept us awake for a good 2 hours with its celluloid anthem of ribtickling misogyny. Three room-mates and their troubled love relationships formed the core of the comic conflict. Every character and each episode spilled over with a delightful deja vu. Debutant director Luv Ranjan managed a 3-guys-in-a-sexist-soup comedy much better than Madhur Bhandarkar in Dil To Bachcha Hai Ji also released this year. And the director did it with untried actors. Kartik Tiwari(who is now doing the same director's next Saathi) and Divyendu Sharma(who is in David Dhawan's Chashme Buddoor) were among the best discoveries of the year.We luv you,Luv, for bringing push to shove without tripping over.
