Exclusive- Reema returns to Kollywood!

Reema Sen has managed to play the glamourous diva in various films with utmost ease.

This Bengali bombshell has even successfully managed to add that extra oomph to some foot-tapping numbers. In a celebrity culture where actors are either dumb as rocks or prepped for the press, this pretty actress is refreshing as ocean breeze.

The lady who got married last month is looking hip these days and she sure knows how to do things in style. The actress is now making a strong comeback with Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s production concern Ghilli Films who are remaking SA Chandrasekhar’s classic 1981 hard hitting film, Sattam Oru Iruttarai.

Remember the film was remade in all Indian languages including Hindi as Andha Kanoon (1983) with Rajinikanth, Hema Malini, Reena Roy, and a special appearance by Amitabh Bachchan. All the versions of Sattam Oru Iruttarai were super hits.

At a time when old classics are having its new versions, SAC is sure that Sattam Oru Iruttarai directed by his niece and debutant Sneha, a visual communications graduate under his supervision will work at the box-office.

Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu who is making his debut through Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki, will be playing the hero.

The plot revolves around the hero’s attempts to take revenge on the killers of his parents while Reema will play the role of a police officer who tries to catch him in the act. Karthika plays the role of investigative journalist and Vikram’s love interest while Piaa is also said to be in the cast.

Talks were on for the past few days and the way Reema went about preparing for her role shows that she hasn’t lost her passion for things. We hear she was working out, was into power yoga and strict diet.

Reema broke the news to sify.com and said: “I saw the original and understand that the role that Hema Maliniiji did is very powerful. I had always said that I would love to take up anything that’s challenging and here I am”

From the look of things, the dice is loaded in her favour. Here’s looking forward to an even more gorgeous Reema Sen on screen.
