Bharathiraja to select the bests in Malayalam


Iyakkunar Imayam Barathiraja who is one of the top three trendsetters and path-breaking directors of Tamil cinema has received a fitting honour from a neighboring state. The septuagenarian filmmaker has been appointed as the chief member of the Selection panel of Kerala State awards for Malayalam films, given by the Kerala Government. The panel will select the list of awardees in various categories for the Malayalam film released in 2013. The Annakodi director will lead the panel that includes eminent film personalities like Editor Lenin, Director Harikumar, Cinematographer Anandakuttan, Music composer Aleppey Ranganath, Surya Krishnamurthy and senior actress Jalaja.
