‘Vellaikara Durai’ team re-shoots 10 scenes

Director Ezhil, who is on the verge of completing his next film Vellaikaara Durai, which features Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya in the lead, seems to have re-shot a few scenes recently. A source close to the unit says, “The team has re-shot at least 10 scenes as director Ezhil wanted all sequences to be absolutely funny and at the same time, to the point. So, these scenes were re-shot in the last week.” Explaining the situation that led to the scenes being re-shot, the source says, “The comedy in the film is situational and not a separate track. In some of these scenes, the comedy had assumed more significance than the plot and in others, the scene had come out more serious than originally intended. The director did not want both these situations and wanted the scenes to have just the right amount of humour, so that the audiences are entertained and at the same time, the plot does not lose its significance.” Just seven to eight more days of work are left to complete the film, which is expected to hit screens in December.
