A film that made Ilayaraja cry

Sengathu Bhoomiyile is a film that is being directed by Rathna Kumar. The director, who is also in-charge of the story, screenplay and dialogues, says that when the film was screened for maestro Ilayaraja he had tears in his eyes when watching the climax.

In Sengathu Bhoomiyile, Pavan and Mirchi Senthil play the male protagonists while Priyanka and Sunu Lakshmi play their onscreen pairs. The film was shot in Madurai and Theni areas. Speaking about Sengathu Bhoomiyile, Rathna Kumar says that it deals with the human relations.

Incidentally, Rathna Kumar is a well-known dialogue writer and has penned dialogues for films like Karuthamma and Kizhakku Cheemayile.
