Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) George addressed a meeting ahead of Thevar Jayanthi celebrations scheduled for October 30.
Officers from the southern districts comprising Superintendents of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police and Inspector General of Police attended the meeting.
According to officials, the meeting discussed arrangements at Pasumpon where the guru puju is to be held, and the strength required by the district police in Ramanathapuram and Sivaganga. Besides, security required for some other districts also figured in the discussion.
