[To watch the video, click here] Directed by Saravanan of "Engeyum Eppodhum" fame, "Ivan Vera Maathiri" is a romantic-thriller flick with Vikram Prabhu in the lead. Unlike his character in his debut film "Kumki", Vikram plays a city-bred youth in his upcoming project. Actress Surabhi is in the female lead, while Vamsi Krishna plays the bad guy. "Ivan Vera Maathiri", touted to be an action-packed entertainer, also features Ganesh Venkatraman in a pivotal role. The film is co produced by UTV Motion Pictures and director N Lingusamy's Thirrupathi brothers. Its music is composed by Sathya, who worked in Saravanan's directorial debut. The audio launch of the film is expected to take place next week. The trailer of the Vikram Prabhu starrer, which was released on 12 October, gives us a glimpse of what to expect from the film. The two-minute, three-second-long video looks promising and is sure to impress the audience. Director Saravanan's first film "Engeyum Eppodhum" was not just critically-acclaimed, but also commercially successful. The filmmaker's directorial skills came in for appreciation from the critics and the audience alike. On the other hand, Vikram Prabhu's debut flick "Kumki" was also a big hit. The actor won accolades for his wonderful performance as a mahout. The combination of Saravanan and Vikram has raised the expectations among their fans. Initially, it was reported that the film will release during Diwali this year. But the festive season is already clogged with three films including Ajith's "Arrambam", Karthi's "All in All Azhaguraja" and Vishal's "Pandiyanadu". "Ivan Vera Maathiri" is confirmed to release in November. However, the exact release date is yet to be announced.
